About me
Hello or こんにちは, I'm Dianne Heslop.
I struggled writing this page because I prefer to stay under the radar; it’s safe there and I’d rather champion others. But you won’t hire me if you don’t know me and you have every right to know why I can confidently say "I get it."
Self discovery can be tough but I can do difficult. As a kid I navigated the world around my mum who struggled with mental health. I have been a single mum with absolutely no support, financial or otherwise, living and working fulltime in a foreign country, Japan. I have been a step parent. I have helped build a business that went from zero customers to a business that is thriving today and I even got in to the Police at 50. None of these things have been easy.
How did I do any of this? By always focusing on goals, and pushing forward step by step to achieve them. Was I underestimated and doubted along the way? Of course. Did the Police appreciate my empathy? They took it as a weakness. In fact one of my colleagues ‘accused’ me of caring too much. I didn't even know that could be a thing, and I wasn't prepared to change.
My passion is helping people overcome their challenges and achieve their goals.
I have been taken advantage of by a few people in my life and these things are too private to share in this space. But trust me when I say "I get what it's like to leave a difficult relationship" or how difficult it can be to speak out.
The consistent thread throughout my life is the desire to help people. I have taught, been a teacher aide, done customer service roles, and then the Police. Now I have found my calling in life coaching. In fact I feel I have been doing it my whole life by motivating people and watching them succeed. I love listening to people, finding out what’s really going on for them. Through my life experience and acquired life coaching skills, I work with people, helping them realign back to their values, and ultimately watch them walk away a lighter, happier version of themselves.
